    I've never really seen the Hungarians making any progress against them and the Seljuks always lose ground early until the Kwarezhmians overrun them As for the historical side, it was a great feat for the Empire to survive the Arab onslaught. Many people still seem to view Byzantine history as a history of continuous decline, but no ailing state survives over a millenium...

    Didn't it continually decline though? But really, really slow I guess.

    Mmh the Moors and the HRE could be candidates, but the Moors are mostly strong in SS while I've seen the HRE keeping itself apart like this quite often on recent maps. The Cumans rarely ever connect their territories effectively and the low treasurey also speaks for them since they control some barren lands.... so yeah, I'll say CUMANS.

    My low treasury is due to me being attacked by pretty much every faction around me and having to defend on many fronts. In normal conditions you can make tons of money with every faction.

They would be you because I was you so to restore balance you would have to be me and them meaning all three of us would become one continously the same. That would be very bad.
