Turn 2 Events

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland

Indian Independence Movement - Partially non-violent, the Indian Independence movement is stirring. Led by Mohandas Gandhi, the non-violent portion hopes to carve out a semi-indepedent state or Federal Dominion from the British government. However, they are beginning to be opposed by the more radical Muslim separatist league, which demands that the Muslim-majority regions in Pakistan and Bangladesh secede and form a new Muslim nation.

United States of America

Occupation of British Colombia and New Brunswick - Following the Great War, the United States occupied key regions of Canada specifically British Colombia, for largely geostrategic and economic reasons. Now, local protests, and pressure from the Dominion of Canada are forcing the Landon Administration to reconsider its occupation of portions of Canada.

Russian Republic

Calls for Democracy - The Kadets, or Constitutional Democrats, led by Pavel Miliukov, have pressured the Kerensky government to adopt a far more democratic rule of law within the Russian Republic. Their demands are to immediately switch to a Democracy and to hold elections within the next turn.

German Empire

Fritz Lang's Mein Kampf - A swift competitor to Erich Maria Remarque's novel, Im Westen nichts Neues, Adolf Hitler's autobiography, Mein Kampf, was widely hailed as a revolutionary war novel in post war art and literature. While Erich Maria Remarque's novel focused primarily upon the difficulties, struggles, and ethical dilemmas posed to each individual soldier and the ultimate futility of war, Mein Kampf emphasized nationalism in spite of this, and strongly endorsed the German Mitteleuropan geopolitical strategy. Most popular was the central character's urgent desire to "save Germany" from anarchy, civil war, and, ultimately, Bolshevism. Despite its popularity, it had attracted some controversy. Some Jewish Defense Leagues have claimed that the overtones of anti-Semitism taint the otherwise vivid account of the Hundred and Twenty Days offensive and the later Russian Intervention, up to, and including, Feldwebel Hitler's survival of a mustard gas attack near Petrograd, which left him partially blind and crippled, with serious nerve damage.

Fritz Lang decided to cast the well-known Jewish actor Eugen Libermann as the central, Feldwebel Hitler, which provoked some controversy, notably from Anton Drexler, leader of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, a minority party in the Reichstag, who claimed that the novel adamantly "pitted itself against Judeo-Bolshevism." This criticism notwithstanding, the director defended his choice of Eugen Libermann as being appropriate, citing that his interpretation of Mein Kampf allowed for a Jewish actor, as the story is about a struggle "faced by all Germans, not just one group in particular." Further criticism arose as it emerged that the studio that produced the film had acquired the rights to the novel at far below market price, arguably defrauding the Hitler family of the rights to the adaption of the late Adolf's memoirs.

Nevertheless, the movie opened to rave reviews and easily became one of the largest grossing movies of the year.

Turn 3 Events

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland

Armed Revolt in Northern India A number of insurgents supported by indigenous tribes, have seized control of several munitions depots and have overpowered local strongmen and British officials. The regions affected seem to include Baluchistan, Punjab, Sindh, and Burma. If not dealt with, this threatens to spill over and affect British control of the Indian subcontinent.


Estimates establish around four militia units and two regular units in each province, though these are bound to increase.

German Empire

Political Demonstrations turn violent Disaffected from the souring economy, and poor domestic policies of the Kaiser, large groups of students, trade unionists, Communists, and some nationalists have taken to the streets throughout Germany to protest the actions of the Kaiserreich. Initial attempts to break the protests led to extremely violent clashes with police and local soldiers.

Bavarian Soviet Republic - In Bavaria, a union of Communists and Trade Unionists have overpowered the local authorities and have established a revolutionary government under the leadership of Ernst Toller.
Provisional Government of Posen - In Posen, a group of Polish radicals have taken to the streets and have intended to establish a provisional government that will, hopefully, be re-annexed to the Kingdom of Poland.
Saxony - In Saxony, a group of University students have taken the mayor of Dresden hostage and have threatened the Royal Family of Saxony. Their demands are to reform the Reichstag to hold new democratic elections within the year.

Estimates establish that roughly three to four militia units, with perhaps a unit of regular soldiers, are guarding each of these uprisings.

In response to the armed and violent uprising the Heer has been given the task of restablishing order. The 4th army is to move on Munich and overpower the Communist Insurgency. Ernst Toller is declared an enemy of the state. Pardon will be given to all insurgents who surrenders their weapons to the Heer.

Germany is willing to provide the Kingdom of Poland with economical assistance and will allow Poland the same conditions as in our treaty with Denmark. Polish assets can be constructed in Posen and part of the profit will go back to Poland, but seceding Posen is not an option for Germany.

To the Bolsheviks who now are terrorizing the great people of Bavaria I strongly urge you to lay down arms and turn yourselves in, while the opinion is still there. mercy will be guaranteed and international observers will be there to ensure it Germany will not tolerate an armed Bolshevik rebellion within the Fatherland and rest assured the 4.armee is on the way.

German Concessions

• Saxon Student Rebellion The League for a Democratic Germany, as it has been called, entered into an internal schism, whereby a number of the supporters gingerly accepted the Kaiser's concessions as being necessary and useful. Virtually all of the hostages were released. However, not all were satisfied. A radical group that desires a Republican Germany attempted to assassinate one of the Saxon Royal Family members, but was failed and caught in the act. His confession led to a sting that arrested several dozen conspirators.
• Posen Talks have degenerated into a stalemate, and the revolutionary forces have positioned themselves within Danzig, hoping to incite a major Polish uprising against Germany.
• Strife in Munich The German Fourth Army has engaged the Bolshevik forces outside Munich. Due to German reticence to use artillery fire upon their own civilians, and the distinct defensive advantages possessed by the Bavarian defectors and volunteers, casualties have been high. German casualties: .5 Regular.

Trouble in India

Strife in Burma In the face of superior troops, the Burmese have resorted to guerrilla warfare. MI6 estimates that their numbers are largely static, and they have a power base in the East. Their zone of influence stretches across much of Burma and they have entrenched themselves in the mountainous regions of Indochina. British forces, until they locate and neutralize the threat, will suffer -15% attrition due to the nature of the combat.
Fluid Borders MI6 has estimated that there is foreign support for the Pashtun, Pakistani, and Baluchistani insurgents in the Raj. Operatives have traced the source to the Kandahar Pass in Afghanistan. It is quite possible that the Emir is personally supporting the insurgents, or is simply the middle man for another.

Iraq - Rumors of foreign involvement and promises have appealed to local minorities who have long been dissatisfied with the Ottoman Regime. Principal amongst these malcontents are the Kurds, Shi'ia Arabs, and Assyrians in Northern Iraq. Rumors have also spread that Arab Nationalism has been spreading amongst local Arabs. Six militia groups have risen up throughout Iraq, two in each province.
Mekkah - The Sharif of Mecca, Abd al-Ilāh of Hejaz, has taken up arms against the Ottoman Empire, leading the remants of the Quraish Tribe in the province of Mekkah. Ottoman Intelligence suggests four regular, and one mounted division.

Guerilla War in Pakistan - The Pakistani rebels have refused to meet the British in the open, and major attempts to locate and destroy the rebels have been frustrated by their retreat into the mountainous regions of the Hindu Kush mountains. -15% Attrition
