Thread: Shire Autonomy Multi-player Bug

  1. #1

    Default Shire Autonomy Multi-player Bug

Whenever we play Third Age 3.1 hotseat campaign with more than one player once the Shire Autonomy proposal is triggered every player gets a vote the first turn, and in the following turns we proceed to get multiple votes per turn without the shire every getting autonomy.

Does anyone know how to manually grant the shire autonomy?

If you actually own the Shire in game, are you saying yes to give the Shire Autonomy? If so, have you also sent your diplomat to the settlement like you would in a single player game?

Yes to both :s Also, the first time the message appears it strangely appears on a player's turn that doesn't own the shire.

I'm playing single player 3.2 VH/VH as Isengard and have destroyed Eriador/Arnor and just started getting the shire autonomy message. I granted it, got the pop up the next turn, granted it again, got the pop up next turn.

Then I declined it, and still keep getting the pop-up EVERY turn. This is getting irritating, any fix?

I guess it's just not meant to be used in hotseat campaigns. It wouldn't be the first script that wouldn't work in one

Yeah, it's probably set to trigger if the LocalFaction owns the Shire, but the game doesn't distinguish between different LocalFaction players. So if one owns the Shire, everyone gets the event triggered.

After fixing the 4tpy for hotseat, the autonomy scripts are the next on my list to see if I can adapt.

OK, it's 2014, and the bug is still bugging people.

Can't it be fixed. Is it really that hard-coded?
