THE THIRD BATTLE - The Idea

This will be delayed a *little* while, but we have worked out what would be cool for the third battle, and it's a classic. I will come back and fill this in with the usual waffle I come out with, but essentially:

We've decided on ILDIRI vs KHEZDRULI (High Elves vs Dwarves)....what do you think?

I should think you'll get all units 'available' to the Ildiri in the Ghaur campaign, plus some more. I'll probably allow about 12 possibles for the Ildiri, 10 for Dwarves
then you choose say 7-8 Ildiri, 6-7 Dwarf types. That way there's a nice mix, and it gives a decent variety of play etc. It may prove that I need to make a little more avaialble; we'll see.

I suspect the unit that won't be available for this for the Ildiri, from that list, is the Tears of Ithil. That's simply not to ruin the surprise.

Right...the plan.

The third battle will be set in a nasty way.

You'll have the Ildiri Faction; the High Elves - playable. I'll get the units you can choose from up in the next few days to a week. Don't expect miracles These will likely include two differing base units - from the Kingdom of Herons OR the Kingdom of Swans, and then some of the odd stuff - the Avatars of Waters Bound, probably some ley units, artillery is doubtful, but we'll see. I think the selection will be about 14 units, of which 8 or 9 will be available as the chosen troops for the battle. You'll have complete control over which.

The Khezdruli will be playable too; they WILL have at least a couple of their Gnome war machines - likely the Gleamers and Golems, but MAYBE a flying one. They'll have a smaller choice for selection, but you'll still get at least 10, of which we'll use 7 I think...that's not concrete.

THEN there will be a third faction present on the battlefield. They will not be playable. They are the 'Infected' of a LONG time ago, and will be invisible on the battlefield til they hit you. So basically, they'll pop up from several starting points and attack both sides. There won't be variation in the units really, as I don't want to really show much of them off. They win by exterminating everyone. Of course, they'll also fight to the death once engaged.

Magic may be present in a form other than ley arrows etc. We'll see.

SOund okay? I'll start the selection bit as soon as I have time and stuff.

Then you'll get the story and prob various bits about the battle and it's meaning in other ways.
