I do get a completely different one whenever I mean to start a campaign, though. After I pick a faction and press start, I get a CTD and an unspecified error. No log is generated. Now I'm quite seasoned when it comes to installing mods and I have some experience in modding as well, but I have no idea what causes such an error. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a fix for it? I'm running Windows 7 (UAC off) and have a non-steam version.
No log is generated? Very strange indeed. Did you try a reinstall? I have not read about this problem before, but perhaps a reinstall will help.

Perhaps deleting all strings in the text folder? Worked for some on an other issue, perhaps this is related.

Other then that I suggest deleting map.rvm and perhaps a new download. Perhaps your download is corrupted.

I very much so liked the addition of the Valyrian colonies on Dragonstone and Driftmark with the Targaryens and Velaryons respecively, however I think it would have been a very rich experience if they were a playable faction (Either the Valyrian Freehold if you wanted to stay true to the time period or the Targaryens for continuity) and they indeed had their three dragons and very little manpower. I know it sounds ridiculous but I have seen mods that use altered versions of elephants in the vanilla to make dragons, although I have never played one.

^me too; i thought it would be impossible with the m2tw engine but i've seen flying units and basically dragon-like creatures that actually breath fire. Check out the sundering rise of the witch king mod although it must be a hard unit to create.

Targaryens and Valaryians are way out of our timeframe, I added them as a giant easter egg for War of the Usurper, see a few post back for the skins and Rheagar battlemodel.

The first one fixed it, deleting map.rwm didn't (or, not by itself). Thanks!

Just dropping by to say that this is one hell of a mod. I'm playing as House Mudd and naturally I am suffering the onslaught of the Andals. The Stormkings are relentless. They stack large armies and have won several victories against me.The Lannisters harass me from the West, inflicting casualties and besieging Riverrun to my detriment. To top that, House Arryn descends from the Vale to skirmish with my north east flank.

My expedition into the Vale and the siege of the Eyrie was devastated by the onset of Winter and a grand mobilization of the Arryn levies. Which more or less leaves the East exposed to whatever Arryn and the Stormkings can now conjure. True to lore, though, Tristifer IV has yet to lose a battle and I intend to keep it that way... for now.

I really cannot recall such an interesting campaign in the longest time I've been playing. I rarely get pushed on the defensive in a Total War game. Well done guys, well done.

I agree, I usually just build up an army and literally dnt stop marching until I've taken over the World, even on harder difficulties. But playing as house Mudd, I almost lost the campaign!
As previously stated though, if you marry into the Lannisters at the very start, it can bide you some time to deal with the Stormkings

Yeah, the Mudds get decimated in almost all of my games. I haven't tried a serious campaign with them yet, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I've been focusing on the Stormkings and the Starks, my two favorite factions in any Game of Thrones game. Stormlands and the North for the win!

Boltons with their pink bodyguards and Varangian guardsmen rock too, you can't deny that.
And Ramsay who became my best general.

Marrying into the Lannisters sounds like a good idea, but they were early aggressors and you know how the M2TW diplomacy is (terrible). Both the Starks and Boltons were eager to ally in the North. Being the good guy that I am, I obviously chose the Starks. I managed to ally House Hoare because they are struggling against the Lannisters, so that kind of relieves my concerns in the West. I am sending an expedition on the coast through Harrenhal without permission so my reputation may suffer.

So far Tristifer has only been fighting with the Lannisters and decimating their invasions. But the East is suffering. Soon enough he will have to join his finest veteran armies in a fight to the death as Arryn regroups and the Stormkings consolidate their new fiefdoms.

Wow, thanks, the first thing has worked out! Maybe you could add this advise to the first post? I think it would help many people.

Incredible submod Dux! I haven't had this much fun on a total war game for some time. If anyone is new to this submod I recommend House Gardener as they have a pretty good starting position since the Stormkings and the Lannisters always go after the Mudds. It's pretty easy to rolfstomp Yronwoods and push the Hoares from the Arbor for some early expansion. I'm also loving Oldtown as the center of the faith. +rep to Dux

Great feedback guys, thanks for the praise

I'm glad everything turned out for House Mudd as in the lore. I planned that only Tristifer IV and his army would stand between the player and total defeat, it seems that worked.
So whatever you do with House Mudd, keep your king and his army alive!

I haven't had the time to play more, but I have more ideas for my AAR characters. It's very much becoming "between a rock and a high place" for House Mudd.

For anyone that wants to see my House Mudd Video's... Here's the Link

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blWKWiLa5i4&feature=plcp

Only Part 1&2 are up right now, but i have to say I'm having a blast playing as House Mudd. And a new part will be up every day.

Right now part two leaves off with the King of The Rock attacking My King outside Riverrun, with The Prince to the south-east in The Crownland's... and his farther in a fight with the lannister king, along with more lannisters moving in. The Prince has a choice to make... Return to the Riverlands to help his farther, or remain in the Crownland's to hold the line and do his duty.

One thing's for sure, The Stormking is rebuilding his army after the last battle with the member's of House Darry (Where the family's line was sadly wiped out) And if the Prince leaves the Crownland's now... Nothing will stand in his way.

P.S Loving the hell out of this Sub-mod. If i had more time i would almost be tempted to write a short story about how each faction ends up, and the events that shaped their victory... or their demise. But I'm far to lazy for such work, my video's will just have to tell the story.
