Lucullus is the veteran of the eastern parts in the Republic, having waged a successful campaign to secure sea routes of trade from brigands while expanding the Republic's holdings into Crete, Cyprus and Cilicia. Sonke's character was the first to lead a campaign successfully and achieve his objectives. The First Iberian War, which occurred at the same time...and was commanded by two consuls and a pro-consul over the course of like...4 - 5 terms, ended in a stalemate. So Lucullus appeared as the first militarily successful character, followed by Maximinius.

The new players need to be careful and get the flavor of the political situation. Strong opposition without help to a bill proposed by the wrong person could be bad for you.

Hmmm.. You don't have to be plebeian to be populist and visceversa, after all, caesar was patrician and cicero, if I can recall, plebeian.

I would have made more enemies, but there were not enough plebeians around.

I am not even sure who is a plebeian and who is a patrician, half the time.

some bios say patrician (or they want to be a patrician- confusing in itself) but have 3 plebeian points
some bios do not say either.

Also you can tell who should be a pleb/patrician by looking up their gens on Wikipedia or something. Like Aquila's from gens Maria which is plebeian. Valerius is too. Claudia was patrician though. We should have a list of this somewhere

Unfortunately, not everyone has looked up the actual gens to find out if the name they took was patrician or not, so that really does not work out so well.

When i decided on this name however, I found Valerius to be patrician , so that is what my character is.

Since that is 280 AD and not BC, I do not believe it had any relevance then.

Even if it where relivant I don't see a reason to change cause I could have come up when I was at the toilet and then we also never knew which class he was
