CTD When Loading a Saved Game

I was on turn 16 with Crimea having just took Istanbul. I was getting tired so I saved the game and then clicked 'Exit to Windows" my system changed screens, then took me to the "Napoleon: Total War has stopped Working" message box. After windows "searched" for a solution, it allowed me to close the box thus closing out the game. Upon a restart, neither the saved game I made or the autosave will load; I get a CTD when the load bar is at about 1/4.

New games start up fine, in fact, I saved a new game after one turn and it will load. What is going on? What makes a saved game corrupt or have the inability to load? Are they gone?

I've tried:

-Restarting Steam, then DM
- Going Offline in Steam
- Deleting the pref.script
- Banging my head on my keyboard

I'm starting to think I'm not cut out for using mods on some games. I am the worst nightmare for modders; I know enough to poke around and get things going, but not enough to fix my own issues.

Which version have you used? Do you use other mod?

If you still have the corrupted save and it is smaller than 25 MB zip it and upload it here. If it is bigger then it is not a big help.

V2.25, and just the startpos submod. I will check on the file size.

*EDIT*It is 44 mg. Would the .dmp help?

No. If you use my starting position with 3 slot cities then it is known that it is buggy. But I have not enough clear feed back for standard campaign with 3 slot cities. There are some reports that there is the same problem but there are even more that there is not.

I cant seem to save a game, when saving a game and going to the load screen, there is nothing there!!!
