Conquest of the Duchy of Lower Lorraine
Word of Lorraine and Burgundian forces route at the battle of Metz at the hands of forces from Solland, Duke Frederick II of Upper Lorraine sent forces under the command of his trusted and experienced general, Arnulf III of Luxemborg to Lower Lorraine with orders of conquest. Along with Arnulf was Prince Conrad I of Hoium who acted as a deputy commander to understand battle tactics and means of leading an army for when he succeeded his father. It was Duke Frederick II's ultimate dream to reunite Upper and Lower Lorraine into the formerly known nation of the Grand Duchy of Lorraine.
Primary Commander: Arnulf III of Luxemborg, Baron of Toxandria
Secondary Commander: Conrad I of Hoium, Prince of Hasbania and Upper Lorraine
The Combine Army of Upper Lorraine:
- 13,500 infantry
- 700 cavalry
- 80 artillery pieces (to support infantry and siege towns)
Heavy Infantry (Professional): 1,500 Lorraine Knights
Medium Infantry (Soldier): 2,000 German Men-At-Arms and 1,000 French Men-At-Arms
Light Infantry (Milita): 2,000 Dutch Auxiliaries and 2,000 Burgundian Infantry
Spearmen(Soldier): 2,000 German Spearmen
Archers (Soldier): 2,000 French Archers
Crossbowmen (Soldier): 1,000 German Crossbows
Light Cavalry (Militia): 300 French cavalry and 300 German cavalry
Heavy Cavalry (Professional):100 Lorraine Mounted Knights
Catapult (Soldier): 20
Ballista (Soldier): 30
Mangolen (Soldier): 30
Lower Lorraine Army: Unknown
