Did you install all three parts? The sequence doesn't matter, but you have to run three installs.
Check the installation path, it should be: ...\Medieval II Total War\mods\Rage_of_dark_Gods

My CTD probably was a random one.

And mckain, change in the ''configuration folder'' (located in the mods/Rage_of_the_dark_gods) this;

windowed = true
borderless_window = true

to this;

windowed = false
borderless_window = false

Open configuration.cfg with notepad.
Find windowed and change it from true to false. This is how its suppost to look

Note that if you are running on win 7 you first must move it on desktop and change it. Otherwise you won't be able to save it.

Please note these settings (I forgot to remove them):

CFG file entry

tga_width = 1400
campaign_resolution = 1680 1050

These are the setting for my 1680*1050 screen together with the best resolution for screenshots. Please change to your preference or remove altogether. A related tutorial can be found here: Creating a World - High Resolution Screenshots

Note that if you are running on win 7 you first must move it on desktop and change it. Otherwise you won't be able to save it.

Everything works fine now. Not sure what I did differently when I reinstalled
