Thread: RodG 1.5 - Easy and painfree Installation

The torrent's gone great! However I'm now wondering, since it's seeding, is it truly necessary? If I halt the seeding process now would that debilitate the files or some such?

Please keep on seeding! Without seeding downloads will not be possible! You can halt and resume the seeding at any time without ill effect to the downloaded files, but it will be much appreciated if you continued seeding.
Normally your torrent application will stop seeding at 1.5 of the original data size, it's kind of a 'gentleman's share' - after that feel free to do whatever you want. Somewhere in the CoW 1.4 version there is a picture of someone seeding beyond 9.0 as a sign of appreciation...

That is regrettable, but I have been force seeding since day one - no idea why you wouldn't show up in my peer list. Just did a force-recheck and restarted the force seed. My connection isn't the fastest, so uploading the 5GB somewhere would take days.

Have you installed all three parts?

    Installation:

    1. Download the torrent file and extract it (size of installation set up: 15 files, 5.03GB)
    2. Run the torrent file with your preferred torrent client
    3. Run the EXE of part1 (DO files will be installed automatically)
    4. Run the EXE of part2 (DO files will be installed automatically)
    5. Run the EXE of part3 (DO files will be installed automatically)
    6. Download and install the patches
    7. Start the game

There isn't much for them to do building wise, so they recruit. And the reason why they are not attacking will be somewhere in the murky depths of the AI files.

I haven't heard of any campaign where the Dark Elves (or the High Elves) got anywhere, so I am not sure if it has to do with the AI settings or the 'lay of the land'.

You might have installed it into the wrong directory. Did you change the installation directory?

The path to the mod should be: C:\...\Medieval II Total War\mods\Bare_Rage
If it is anything else, then you need move the 'Bare_Rage' directory into the 'mods' directory and create a new desktop short cut. Alternatively delete the installation and re-install WITHOUT changing the installation directory.

Have you unpacked he game with the unpacker tool? If so then yu will have to delete the two files in the M2TW\data folder with 'geography' in it.

The main game - M2TW. This kind of error happens if your M2TW 'data' directory (NOT RodG) contains the two files with geography in the name.
