Starting Campaign

I cant seem to start campaign.

When i choose faction then click start campaign it goes back to main menu.

ive changed first time play to false but it makes no difference.

Can anyone help.

Have you tried minor campaign - Early era campaign?

I'm getting the same thing, ive tried both grand and minor campains AND three clean installs of RTW+Bi and the chivalry mod to no effect, Ive also tried removing the Map.rwm files from the imp campain and Bi campain folders, nothing as when i try and start a campain it boots me back to the desktop without fail, just ever so slightly disapointing

Oh and i'm running from the rome total war folder using the desktop shortcut provided NOT a copied folder as ive seen of the forum this was not recomended

Also, although it's only really necessary for multiplayer, I find patch 0.34a useful for the campaign, as it means that you can play a major campaign with RTW. As well as that, it allows you to play and create historical battles.

Ok i admit it i'm a total retarded Elmar Fud - space cadet - moonman..... Dont know about the other guy but someone not too far away from my keyboard didnt have the 1.6 BI patch installed, they thought they did but to their shame didnt !

So just ignore me or shoot me and put me out my misery
