Thread: How to get Swordsmith Guild for Gondor

Icon5 How to get Swordsmith Guild for Gondor

I have been reading through the posts trying to figure this out but could not find an answer, so sorry if this has been answered already. I have played about 20 Gondor campaigns throughout the many different patches of TATW and have never once been given the option to build a swordsmith's guild. What do I need to do to trigger this event? Also, this is hands down the best game I have ever played. The only one I can still pick up and enjoy after years of playing. Great job to everyone who contributed to making this game.

Not all units give swordsmith's guild 'points' Recruiting any unit with swords give points IIRC, but you loose some points every turn as well. Spearmen do NOT give points

    Content's well good, innit.

Right, it has to be a sword armed unit, so for Gondor that would be the Gondor Militia, Gondor Infantry, Swan Knights, Gondor Cavalry, and maybe the Pelargir Marines. You gain +15 points for each sword unit you build in that settlement only.

You also gain points for building the armourer line, and the last 3 levels give points to all of your cities.

This is assuming it works the same as vanilla M2TW.

Can you edit the value to make recruiting a specific unit worth more guild points?

    yes
    here is how
    Code:
    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger 0035_Build_Leather_Tanner
        WhenToTest BuildingCompleted

        Condition SettlementBuildingFinished = leather_tanner

        Guild masons_guild s 10
        Guild masons_guild o 2
        Guild swordsmiths_guild s 10

    ;------------------------------------------
just change the number behind the guild or uint you want to be affected
in this case the red number

this is for a building but works for units as well
this data is from MOS so don't know if it is he same for vanilla

NOTE I am not a good modder so I am maybe horribly wrong

D you want some units back in MOS 1.7? Install this mod http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...n-1-1-RELEASED
It adds back units who were deleted from the campaign in MOS 1.7, namely the Winged Swordsmen, the Citadel Guard Archers and the Gondor Dismounted Bodyguard.
