Hey, if you'd like I'd like to offer what help I can as I speak Hebrew, and have complete grammars and dictionaries for Akkadian (the language of Babylon and Assyria) and Egyptian.

Just to point out: the Hebrew, Assyrian, Babylonian all seem good in-game but the Sabaic is a random garble of Arabic and Hebrew that in no way resembles a South Semitic language...
If you want better Sabaic I might be able to help.
Good, I was hoping we'd find some knowledge of Sabæan. I'm only good with East Semitic, and Hebrew (by default of being Israeli... Granted with this mod I'm only using Biblical Hebrew, which isn't too different. (And another granted I'm still trying to come up with a good Biblical word for African instead of just Kushi... I might eventually just chang all occurences of Africanim to Afarim, as there is a theory that the word Africa comes from the Punic Afar which is the same in Hebrew... But it means Dust, and was a localised place name back then.))
Well I would vary it depending on the area you're working with. For African levies I would rather use the Egyptian term and for Ethiopians obviously Ge'ez is preferred.
I dug through the old AtB axumite files (been almost three years now...) and found these, which I came up with. Not great but hey they are something.
Ihzab - Ethiopian Spearmen
Sarawit - Professional Spearmen (in padded armor, shield, spear - I think it's an Axumite term so it may be anachronistic to use it)
Sayfsanyat - Swordsmen
Farasanyat - Cavalry
Zabanyat - Guard Infantry
Speaking of which, why no Ethiopian faction?![]()
