I'm not doubting that, and no one wants it done away with. The references in the constitution are to be removed. That is all.

Perevel, read the whole thread, then respond. This thread isn't to decide whether or not there is to be a Chancellor, this thread is to decide whether there should still be references to a position that has had nothing to do with the Constitution for a long time, in the Constitution. Furthermore there is no guarantee that anything passed here will somehow automatically be accepted, if you disagree with the proposed changes then disagree with them, don't suddenly move the goalposts and blow the entire thing out of proportion.

I've read the thread, and I'm not trying to be argumenatitive with you. Let me clarify my thought. I think the references to the chancellor should be expanded in the constitution as the uni has become more active, not removed. I understand fully the purpose of this thread is to clarify the existing constitution, I believe as it pertains to the chancellor references they should be clarified by expanding not removing. Is that more along the lines of what you're looking for?

Then that is a separate matter that has no real place in this thread

If you want to codify the Chancellor into the Constitution then write up the amendment, this is about clarifying the Constitution as it stands right now.

Sorry, I mis-understood you in the op. My bad.

Then that is what I will do
What are some other clarifications you would like to make?

We were just discussing the CA position, and suggesting that it needs to have a "as approved by the Administration".

I agree with that, and maybe a limit on the number of CA's

I think we should all back off for a sec, and realize what is going on. The Uni was dead. Completely. Its one of those things I just do not have time to deal with, so I handed it over to Hader to see if he could make something happen.

I dont care how its worded, I gave this to Hader, and his word is law as far as I am concerned. If he wants an assistant, fine with me. If not, also fine with me. Its certainly nothing we need to screw up with Curial politics just as its getting off the ground again.

Which is pretty much why I wanted the references removed.

Another thing that should just go. If it needs an "as approved by the Administration" it really has no point in the Constitution, as it's not a Curial matter, not a Curial position, and will only be taken care of by Administration. Clean it up.

    I think you misunderstand Bolk.

Curator's Assistants is what we're talking about.

Yeah, for some reason I thought you meant Creative Assembly badges...

Any more thoughts on what has been discussed so far?

You have to remember some parts of the Constitution are failsafes

The Administration must be the technical appointers of a curatorial assistant, or it opens doors. There are elements of the Constitution that have been written based on precedents, which means that there are also parts of it we should not meddle with.

And I'm all for formalising that.

Formalising of precedents is not always a desired outcome.

Can you clarify which sections you think fall under that criteria?
