Thread: Suggestion: User notes to keep people keep track of things

Default Suggestion: User notes to keep people keep track of things

As we all know, a civ would have to wait three month before he becomes a Patrician. and a Patrician would have to wait a month bewteen patrons. But who can really keep track of the time?

Therefore, I suggest that we just drop a user note on them saying that someone have to wait until a certain data before he/she can can become a patrician, and he/she won't be able to patron until a certain date.

Well, people who have queries have PMed me (and others, I'm sure) and I have looked up when they passed the Civ vote. It is incumbant on the Civ to apply for Patricianship (I was early, thank you Archer! ) and the Admins to check. I suppose it makes the process simpler, though.

Meh. I just kept the PM I recieved notifying that I passed the vote - it has the date on it. Simple and easy.

EDIT: That reminds me - one day to go before I'm eligible for Patrician.

Does the staff even pay attention to this? Not in my experience as a patron atleast.

Yes, once or twice we have made a mistake though,
Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

I did when it was the staff's prerogative to determine prospective candidates.

People can usualy find out when they became a civitate by searching thr welcome thread for their name.. at least thats what i did when i wanted to become a Patrician

Otherwise i would expect the people themselves to be relatively sure of whether they can patronise someone or not at a given time.. good old honour system sometimes works.. i think asking staff to manage extra user notes like this is a bit much

It shouldn't be too hard to post a user note, right?

i guess not, but then it shouldnt be that hard for the person who wants to know to check himself either. If the staff were willing theres no reason not to go with notes i suppose, but i dont think its a required convention at the moment.. maybe if there was an outburst of people trying to cheat the system, but i doubt that will happen, civitates are supposed to be responsible

I would have no problem with this, personally.

Probably the Master of Ceromonies (Asterix) should do it.

This should be in the Curia main, really, as it is not proposed legislation.

Actually, you can check user notes yourself.
