Default Low FPS rates, please help!

    Hi all,

I'm this applies NTW and S2TW,

I'm experiencing fps rates as low as 15-23 frames per second when zoomed in.

    Graphics are set to:

    Resolution: 1366x768 (Native)
    Anti Aliasing: 2x
    Textures: Medium
    Particle Effects: Medium
    Unit & Building Detail: High
    Unit Size: Medium

    Everything else set to low.

    My Notebook's specs are:

    2.27Ghz Intel Core I5
    4 GB Ram DDR 3
    Nvidia GT 230M 1GB (Beta Drivers 295.51)
Windows 7 Home Premium (fully updated)

Is there anything I can do to push up my performance without sacrificing too much looks?

    Cheers all!

    I would say, "No".

The cpu is not that fast even for being an i5, GT 230M is not as good as my old 99800GT in dx9 mode.

GTS250 is a rebranded 9800GT and mobile chips are always a step or two lower than dedicated desktop chips.

    Wealcome to TWC.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

I'm not too sure if I was clear in my first post,

    what I meant was,

are there any suggestions for graphics settings? nividia drivers that one can suggest.

Since I'm my notebook is an HP so I'm not sure if can overclock any of the components (would that make a noticeable difference if I could?)

    Your responses are invaluable.

    You're not overclocking anything HP.

As far as settings, even with where you set yours, have you checked the gfx.log.txt to see how much the game may have downgraded yours? It may give you a clue how low you can go.

do yourself a favour and build yourself a decent gaming rig and dont use a laptop (a laptop has to be fairly high end for gaming for the most part).

we can def help out on that score!
