Aggony 1v1 Championship FINALS Matches 1-5 Discussion

What was your favorite match?
What could the loser have done to change the outcome of said match?
What's your opinion of the builds?

1. I liked the first match because it was almost like chess. You move the pawns in place to lure the stronger pieces of your opponent, and you capture the dojos, and close in to finish.
(To state simply)

2. Varyag maybe should have rushed earlier to save what units he had to later capture the key buildings as he was rushing. Perhaps taking the initiative would have pushed Luvmo back for him to capture and capitalize on the bonuses.

3. I liked the mixed builds of the first and second matches. You don't see that much skirmishers with a nice sword or naginata monk contingent. The cavalry variety was also reassuring/surprising.

Great matches, good comeback by Varyag, and congrats to Luvmo.

They should have used all high vet naginata samurai armies because according to the official boards they are the most overpowered unit and can do everything.

well a couple of nag sams would certainly have helped varyag against those ranged units in the last game, as it was his swords just got shot to shizzle. if you're gonna grunt rush on rice fields though you really need cav superiority or some other decent counter to those bow cav/matchlock, especially when the other player has brought them the past 4 matches...
