Bring Your Own Role (BYOR) Mafia Sign-Ups

For those of you who are not familiar with BYOR rounds, the premise is simple: you send me a private message containing the name of a role you want, and then I design a role for you based on the name that you submit to me. This means that EVERYBODY is a power role (thus, mafia roles are stronger than town roles since they're going against a full team of roles; and the third party role will be exceptionally powerful). As a result, BYOR rounds are high-powered and can be a little hectic, but because you are guaranteed to have a power and because you get to be whatever role name you pick out, BYOR rounds are also a lot of fun!

The role name can be anything you want - anything at all. It can be a real life person, a video game character, or an abstract concept. There's no limits... if you think of it, I can make it into a role. Keep in mind that I may not know a lot about the role you pick out, so my design will be based on the info I find through Google/Wikipedia.

Just a couple of general statements regarding how the round will go:

1) Days will be 48 hours, nights will be 24. Phase changes will occur ~1 PM EST time (allow around 30 minutes for lenience). Any votes or powers sent in AFTER 1:00 PM EST will be ignored.

2) The number of mafia/third parties/town is not revealed in advance.

3) Role cards and affiliations will be displayed upon death.

4) Tie votes result in a coin flip to determine the result.

5) Affiliation is determine by a randomizer, NOT by your role name. So if you send in the role name, "Mafia McMafioso," you're just as likely to be town as anybody else.


I'm looking for 14 players. When you sign up, send a role name to me. I will need these roles by the time 14 people have shown up. I will not start designing the roles until I have all 14 players signed up and have all 14 role names in my PM box (otherwise I can't use a randomizer to determine affiliation, since I determine affiliation first and then design the roles with both affiliation and role name in mind).

Not a problem! I can't seem to find the edit button for my opening post (is there one)? I should edit out the "IMMEDIATELY" bit because I really don't need it immediately; I just need it by the time all 14 players have signed up.

Also, it'll take me roughly a week (probably less) to design all of the roles. I like to make things fun and balanced, and the more time spent on designing the roles the better the round turns out to be.
