Justinian was but a poor noble when the strife began, with the Turks invading Asia Minor and the Hungarians (?) invading Greece proper. While the imperial armies were busy desperately trying to hold back the tide, Justinian had an idea. With the imperial armies preoccupied with the Turks and Hungarians, what could stop him from taking Byzantine? So he hatched a plan with various other nobles. Soon, when another push from the Turks forced the "Romans" to send their legions far off to the border, they hatched their plan.
