Why can Denmark only build up to 80 canon ships of the line?
I believe that Denmark at the time before the bombardment of Copenhagen in 1807 and confiscation of the fleet by the British had the second strongest fleet next after Great Britain. So why is it that Denmark can only build 80 canon ships of the line? It makes it hard to compete with the 122 canon ships of the line of Great Britain or France. And it's not historically correct. Would you consider adding larger ships to the Danish fleet in future updates?

This is just a minor thing, as I see your point (and this is, after all, a game), but I don't think the Danes every built ships of such size.

Looking up Danish ships of the line for the time period covered in the game you are correct.
The list shows 2 possible 90 gunners built during the time..the Waldemar and the Frederik VI.
They only ever built one 110 gun ship but that looks like it was inthe early 1700's and the ships name was...Fredericus IV.
I only count a handful of ships larger than 80 guns ever made bythe Danes and that was all before 1800 after 1800 they primarily only built 80 gun ships or smaller with the 2 exceptions listed above.

Okay, I see your point. Maybe 80 guns ships of the line is not so ahistorial after all. I just feel that the Danish fleet is rather weak in the beginning only having inferior ships compared to both Britain and France having large ships of the line with up to 122 guns. And as far as I know, the Danish fleet was the second strongest next after Britain. But I guess I just have to build up a strong fleet of 80 guns ships of the line in order to challenge Lord Nelson or Villeneuve or change it myself as suggested by Husserl. Thanks for all your useful replies.

As a p.s. to what I wrote before, although in the game they are very powerful, the British didn't really like the larger ships, as they were too expensive, and too slow, to be of great benefit either in battle, or on blockade duty. One-hundred gun ships were useful for leading the line, because of the punishment they could dole out and accept, but the larger vessels were not generally seen as assets, most of the time.

Denmark was able to maintain one of (i believe that the thing about the Danish Navy being the second largest is a myth that the Danish like to keep alive) the largest fleets in Europe at the time because they didn't build larger ships than 80-gun ships of the line. Larger ships than that were as Shashu writes very expensive and were not suited for the Danish Navy's job at the time, which was to protect its' trade and colonies.
