    Default Non-royal generals mechanics

Hi guys, I am currently playing my usual early Seljuk campaign on VH-N ( and still struggling due to continuous Fatimid-Khawerzm-Cuman attacks ). My royal family is relatively small and I have only 2 sons of Turkish blood in my family tree. I desperately need more generals. What I know is that :

    1) If I adopt some generals, they will appear at my family tree. They may even be elected future faction leaders. They don't have unique blood trait of my faction. So, these bastards should be avoided at all costs.

    2) If I marry one of my daughters to a general, they will again appear at my family tree. They won't again have my blood traits. But I wonder that if their son will get my blood trait due to heritage from his mother ? Only that way, I could accept bastards of son-in-laws.

    3) The last thing is to attack a rebel army with an army led by Captain and then to promote that captain to General. But are these generals going to appear at my family tree ?

Actually, since you could assume the generals adopted aren't illegitimate, there's no need to call them bastards (I see roleplaying worth where people pretend some of them are, and are trying to make a name for themselves). The children of a son-in-law certainly aren't illegitimate, so aren't actually bastards (so to speak...unless the son-in-law has been at it with his mistress(es) ).

On point #2, I am uncertain. I groom my family tree so that only the line of succession runs from starting king to his eldest son and his eldest son and so forth, so I prefer to marry to Princesses instead (which is a messed-up mechanic, since if you have other unmarried family members, characters like your faction leader and heir don't get marriage offers).

On #3, only generals adopted into the family will appear in the family tree. If it's just a promotion, I am not entirely sure, but he probably won't appear in the family tree.

I know they are not bastards, I just hate them because they disturb continuation of my holy royal blood Who wants son of some adopted generals to become sultan ?

By the way, problem with turkish family tree is that, it starts very small; only sultan, his two brothers and his only son ( a son that should be really ashamed of, no stars, no chivalry, not even loyalty ). Sultan and his brothers are already very old and the chance to have more sons from them is low. Only real chance is my faction heir but this loser is not even able to produce sons.

On 2)yes their son will have the royal blood. From what i know in previous versions they didn't but now they do
on 3) I believe that always man of the hour is adopted so he joins the family tree. Many times this has caused problems to me as a random man of the hour can turn to be the first adopted son of the FH and as a result will become FL at some point.

I had the same problem with my Turkish game. My prince wasn't even getting marriage offers until he was like 49 or something. Than he wasn't having kids. I just adopted the people who came and manually gave them Turkish blood. The bloodline thing is nice, but the Muslims really suffer since they can't arrange marriages with other factions. Since they can't have a movable princess who when she marries is guaranteed to have children with her bloodline, it makes it harder for them.
"When I lead my army against Baghdad in anger, whether you hide in heaven or in earth, I will bring you down from the spinning spheres; I will toss you in the air like a lion. I will leave no one alive in your realm; I will burn your city, your land, your self. If you wish to spare yourself and your venerable family, give heed to my advice with the ear of intelligence. If you do not, you will see what God has willed." -Hülegü, the "Destroyer of Baghdad"

I don't know how you didn't see it, it was on the first page of the submods. Leads me to think you didn't look for it.
