you first become a sergeant/Feldwebel than train under clan tag.

I'd be interested but I'll have to play V2 a bit more before I pick my fave faction...

My Napoleon skills have rusted over 6 months of not playing so I wouldn't qualify as a full member.

I'm afraid I'm not acquainted with these so called "clans",
can anyone care to show me the perks of being a clan member?

Being a player in the Lordz community for 4 years i can say;

Army Order of Battle is available for clans so you feel more Napoleonic if you like the Era.
There is “hierarchy” in battles, highest rank officer is the commander of the battle but he can delegate someone to command a specific battle instead of himself.

NTW3 Clans like N,Grogs,Dragons,BPA,NBC ... take clan business serious so every clan has its own procedure for accepting recruits.

NTW3 Community give priority to clan battles in the lobby, if clan battle not possible, players with a known tag front of their names like [N],[Grognard],[BPA],[Dragon] etc. has priority (except clans' rebel friends!)

There are clans who play 2-3 different Era games together, there are napoelonic clans who play different nap games together and there are clans like BPA and Grogs who play only NTW3 and which is a “ntw3 clan”.

You have to be in a clan to participate lordz “clan ladder”, no “rebels” accepted, also ntw3 tournaments are mostly clan based.

And course you always play together with same players in a clan so you have more chance for victory against other clans.
