Re: The Sekigahara Campaign - Historical Research Center
Ieysu was probably too fat to walk but he would not take the risk to ride into battle. It's also a matter of power and rank. "look how I seat peacefully while you fight !"
Sekigahara saw a whole day of fighting, do you imagine spending 10 hours on a hard wood saddle ?

Re: The Sekigahara Campaign - Historical Research Center
I was reading about Ieyasu's weight. Dear god, I feel sorry for the horse. Moreso since they were more like ponies in Japan.

Re: The Sekigahara Campaign - Historical Research Center
The more I see this armor, the more I want Date Masamune to wear it in the game.
Since you want to make a modular mod, do you think we could have an alternative daimyo pack after the release of the mod ?

Re: The Sekigahara Campaign - Historical Research Center
Would be so cool to use these guys (pic) as Date-clan Hatamoto, Especially with those crazy helmets. Masamune had such a great sense of style, didn't he?

Not showing up for me either. Where are you hosting the file?
That last suji-bachi kabuto is beautiful. Does your source mention the particular owner in the Ikeda family?

Re: The Sekigahara Campaign - Historical Research Center
Not the particular owner, I'm afraid.
It only says :
"Crest of the Ikeda family, daimyo of Tottori in Inaba.
Koshozan-shaped helmet in russet iron made of thirty-two plates. The peak as well as the plates of the bowl are damascened in silver with foliage motif.
Signed "Owari no kuni no ju Shigemasa".
17th century."

Re: The Sekigahara Campaign - Historical Research Center
Completly forgot I had these.
Ikeda kabuto (no idea of the specific owner) interesting because it gives a good idea of what a katana can do in battle.
