I'm still trying to find ways to include a clan that sports the swastika.

Suda Chikimitsu is a bust.

(Yes there is the Hachisuka Clan but Tokushima Domain is currently occupied by the Toyotomi ingame.)

I'd really love to see a clan with the swastika kamon, too..
The only solution I can think of is to place Hachisuka in Sanuki province, not 100% historicaly accurate but still, it was a very important clan and it deserves to be placed somewhere.
And I remember reading somewhere (even thought not a very reliable source) that this kabuto was used by a member of the Hachisuka clan, another reason to put them in the campaign.

I just wanted to gloat about this . I noted it a while ago.

The regent of Japan shall be either Yamato Chunagon [Toyotomi Hideyasu] or the Bizen Saisho [Ukita Hideie], in accord with their readiness.

(Since this is more informal, I can't be bothered dumping more info in accordance with a referencing system .)

Speaking of the swastika thing...unless you've found a clan, It seems that Uesugi Kagekatsu had another helmet quite similar to the one he is currently wearing in Seki, only the gold disk had a swastika on it. Might bet he next best thing if you did want to incorporate one.

Interesting. This wouldn't be too hard to make. Increase the shininess and stick the crest on there.

Now to create a solid disclaimer : "The swastika depicted here is not relative to, does not represent and is a historical depiction of a japanese maedate and crest that existed centuries before the third Reich."

Since this has become the kabuto thread. Lets revive it with this awesome piece.

I've managed to find a decently sized picture of an armour. If I've concluded properly, the gist of the google translation, coupled with my knowing how "Ukita" reads in kanji, is that this armour is located at the grounds of the old Okayama castle and is, at the very least, associated with the Ukita. I'm not quite sure if it's an amour of Hideie or a predecessor.



My conclusion: MORE LACE! That, and next time a teenager becomes commander in chief, do some bloody documentation!

I vaguely remember a gold kabuto associated with the Ukita but it was quite some time ago so I'm not sure.
At least this set could be used for Hideie in the mod..

There's an exhibit in a museum here with some Uesugi masks, Shimazu swords, and tokugawa swords and mogami armor. I didn't have a camera but my friend and I are going back soonish with a picture taking device. Hopefully it'd be useful.

When I read the description of the armor, it just said Mogami Family, so I imagine it was just passed down for a few generations until picked up by a collector .
Will be going sometime next week!

Nobesawa Mitsunobu's armour. (He was Yoshiaki's main reteiner and held the castle of Nobesawa in Dewa.)

It was given to Mistunobu by Yoshiaki and is the heaviest japanese armor ever made, 103 pounds !

Since armours at this time followed some regional styles we can think Yoshiaki used one quite similar.

hey anton anyway each clan could get a few hero units right from the start? along with their regular armies??? maybe limit it to like 2 special heroes that are unique or use unique units, example for Naomasa Li they were Cavalry focused, while Uesugi could be Monks, Date get Mounted Gunners? etc etc maybe mix it up a bit i dont know just spouting random uslessness.
