Naval flags will be different. Land flags will be all the same for US but CS will have different campaign one and battle flag.
Yay! So we get the Stars and Bars on the campaign, the Battle Flag on the field, and the Blood-stained Banner on the main?

I was at a friend's house and got permission to spend the night there, when I felt that I'd made the wrong choice and prayed about it being the right one to stay at the friend's house. I still felt it wasn't, so I called for a ride home. I got home seven minutes after my mother died. Don'ting tell me that there is no God.
CSA campaign flag will be stars and bars, yes.
CSA battle flag will be a square version of this ingame:
The flag still may get some changes, for even more used style. Also donīt bother about the border, it fitīs well ingame.
I cannot stand it! April 12th seems too far away! 2.6 is amazing, and I can only imagine the work of the God's in 3.0. Great Work so far!

I want this so bad. Im pretty much a fail whe nit comes to installing mods and the last time I tried to instal a mod to a game I screwed it up pretty good.
If someone could send me a message on how installng mods works in simple terms I would be grateful and I might even give you a cookie![]()
Me too guys, can't wait to play as Confederacy!!

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

There is no doubt this game/mod will be awesome (and as an Aussie and having just watched Ken Burns' Civil War I'm psyched to play it), also as a player of mods only I would hope for an easy install process and crash resistant experience. good luck with it.

Installation and mod running will be very easy and campaigns will be stable. Moreover launcher is equipped with a couple of tools that will help you troubleshooting.
Your map looks great so far. Question - does the team have as a future end point a map which includes each state (at least the more front line ones) as it's own region, or are you constrained by global region caps?
I think the early war politics over secession is fascinating. It would be awesome to have the border states of MD, KY, and MO as regions, and then have the possibility of those states fully seceding. The USA and CSA could use a combination of coercive force and diplomacy to swing them to their cause, making it easier/more beneficial to have them in their faction rather than simple military occupation.
I'm sure the team would like to make it. however, the ETW doesn't allow such map alterations. i think that region borders can't be changed, new regions can't be added, and territories can't be converted into regions. there is an entire thread in etw mod-workshop concerning ability/inability to mod etw map.![]()
Ahhhh, I'm truly sorry to hear that. If I recall correctly, the first rate Rome mods like Roma Surrectum II were able to change cities and map boundaries and the like. 3.0 will still surely be a triumph - thanks for clarifying!
Rome and Medieval II TW were using entirely different egines... those games are infact one of the easiest to mod. especially Medieval II where CA released unpacking tools and modding tool really fast. empire/napoleon and shogunII engines are progressively harder to mod... unfortunatley![]()
This mod looks pretty awesome so far, and actually I originally bought ETW because I saw a video of this mod on youtube. But anyway, is it possible I could have a list of some of the new units in 3.x?
hmm what will be the max unit size? 100? because I sorta like the 400 in Napoleon Total Combat, and since as long as I know regiments are usually larger than 120 or 100
not more than 200 i guess. i remember shokh mentionig somewhere that using unit settings on medium/normal (number of 200 union line infantry) ensures best use of tactics by AI. This means, that when greater number of men is present, when regiments deploy in two ranks to fire, AI often overlap them causing friendly fire casualties...
EDIT: 1100 post, i never thought i would comment that much... hmmm...

I was wondering at what time (generally speaking) on the 12th will the game be released. Do I need need to call off work next Thursday & Friday so I can dl it at midnight EST and play till Sunday?
The mod will be uploaded from middle europe. And i guess in the evening there.
@ Minas Moth: Thanks for your asnwers here, there right.
I wasnīt able to come online the last days.
Side Note:
Time was passing faster then we thought. This means that 12/4 will be probably a open beat release.
