They can only be recruited at Kings Landing and by all factions.
Is there a chance that the Three Whores (the trebuchets) could be built by the controlling faction to defend King's Landing?
Still no starting position pics......
I take it this faction will also recieve the "generic" units for the southron kingdoms? (peasants, levy spears, levy archers, sworn swords, + hopefully levy halberds)
btw, love the pikemen. I like that length for the pikes, very realistic. Should we expect similar weapons for pikemen of the other kingdoms?

Are you guys making the gold cloaks an elite forces or something? cus they are a city watch, and nothing more, maybe they have moderate armor but honestly they arn't even professional soldiers, more like levies, in the books.
EDIT: I think I can find a quote in ACOK where Tyrion is talking about how he would rather have a few soldiers then a dozen gold cloaks, or maybe that was Bronn.

Well then again, the only time we saw them in action was during the Battle of the Blackwater. I remember the city recruited many new gold cloaks for the coming battle, but many of these recruits were not ready for a serious battle. A serious distinction could almost be made between 'veteran' gold gloaks and raw recruits, though alternatively this could just be done with experience chevrons.
We have to keep in mind the City Watch isn't a professional army. They are a garrison militia of sorts so riot's can't turn deadly and trump the whole City. Sure, the 2,000 original Gold Cloaks are probably pretty well soldiered or hardened, but the new recruits had precious little time to train. They are exactly, what the name say's. The City Watch. They keep the peace. It's not hard to distinguish.
for now there is only 1 goldcloak unit, maybe in the future we can represent the good ones from the bads but until then the stats will be the same and these guys will be just a step behind professional soldiers.
perhaps Joffrey will start with 5 or 6 goldcloaks that are lvl 6 veterans and the rest are normal? we shall see. All this will be taken care of in December.
everyone is busy in November and December will provide us with some time to get some real work done.
don't ask about release date, as soon as we know, we will inform you people.
The Goldcloaks will basically be levies, with some additional training, and the equipment of professional soldiers. They will obviously shred levies, but will only able to stand against real professional troops if they have acquired enough experience or are supported well enough. Their main strength is their discipline, which means orderly formations, but they don`t have as much morale as professional troops either.
So basically; If used and supported well they can act as professional troops. If used badly they will die just somewhat slower than levies.
The veterans of the city watch will have some experience and chevrons.
Looks awesome might actually want to play Joffrey now.
Will "The Hound" be apart of Joffery's unit and if so does this mean if he died in the unit and Joffery survived,
would he just re-spawn the next battle?
He is a general on his own, in the preview he is with joff 'couse they are in the same battle
Ok! thanks for the info!
You know that's actually cool can't wait
