House Baratheon
of King's Landing
--------------------------------------------------------
King Robert's eldest son and heir, King Joffrey has already had a huge impact upon the realm.
He has executed one of the men who played a very important role in bringing his family the throne in the first place and he has incensed the Lords of the North and the Lords of the Trident with his barbaric antics. He is young, brash and cruel and even those closest to him have a hard time exerting control over his decision making.
Having rallied the Crownlands and his mother's family, the Lannisters to defend his crown, young Joff is still in a very precarious position. However he has the luxury of having the famed Tywin Lannister not only as his Hand but also as his grandfather. With a shrewd man like that in charge of the martial forces, the chance for victory increases exponentially. Will Joffrey be able to hold the crown his father fought so dearly and bravely to attain? Or will one of his many enemies strike him down and put his soft neck on the headman's block?
