No one can say that Aulus Lucinius Caldius never did anything for Rome. Having fought from the Trebia to Cartagena (Where he lost his left hand, and had its metal replacement forged.) and even fighting at Zama, always on foot and in the thick of it. In fact nearly losing his eyes in that battle is what made him go into the Senate, a man could get hurt when he's knee deep in dead Iberians.

Other than politics Aulus has used his reputation to go into shadier lines of work. With Carthage's defeat in the war, new and exciting opportunities in trade with Iberia have opened up, it's a competitive market and friends in high places who can strong arm your rivals out of business are a useful asset, one which Caldius is more than willing to take part in his endless pursuit of blood and glory.
