Sorry my posts are so laconic; I always have to write them in a rush.

Since both the British and Byzantine factions seem to be favorites, I’ve cooked up some semi-realistic glory goals (a la MTW) that either of them can achieve. Each goal has a name and a description, unless that goal is self-evident (i.e., “Paris” ). Each goal has a set of point values: one for achieving it by a certain date (TBD) and one for being allied to another faction that achieves it by that date (or, a la MTW, the points could accrue every 50 years or so).

So, if, playing as the English, I’ve managed to maintain an alliance with France long enough to conquer the Scots and Irish and then I help run the Moors out of Spain, I could say that I've achieved the Greater Briton and Reconquista Glory Goals. That would be 10 points. If my ally, France, happens to take Rome, that'd be 5 more points, so I'd get 15.

Note that the goals are designed to keep play focused on map areas that are less buggy (can’t wait until the eastern steppes are playable, by the way; hope this becomes a priority).

So, should we go for a single score after, say, 100 years, or should we use the old MTW method and accrue after every 50 years or so? I’d suggest playing on VH-M with large units.

How do you plan on implementing this in the game?

Hum I probably won't implement it in the nearer future, but it might actually be an intriguing idea. There are some tricks how this could be done with hidden traits, etc.

No thing is everything. Every thing is nothing.
