    Now if your a purist....Loke-Shah, gives sound advise. Transfering the trait "Architect" has pushed more than a few stalled building projects to completion.

    I know it feels bad to cheat in a larger population to build a citadel however the 6.4 version made it ridiculously difficult to achieve through in game means. The majority of citadel's you'll get in the game will be by capturing them because its easier and less frustrating, and even then they will be rare.     my advice do what Ferdiad says or use console commands to do it.

    Beware, console_command use is a slippery slope, i should know i fell off it along time ago.

    If you play on VH, the AI will build lots of them. In my campaign with the Turks, I currently have 14 citadels (turn 312). I got 1 by cheating (since I needed a citadel on Caesarea to train Iqta'dar), 2 I got by giving them to the AI to grow, then recapturing them, and the other 11 I got by conquering from the AI.

    you can also edit the farm buildings to increase pop growth and reduce squalor.

    Is it not more convient that there will be a patch for some bugs just as mentioned in the this forum (Byzantine generals,Moors and Citadels)?

    They will warn us when theres a patch immenant, and its unlikely well have one soon.

    What bugs? The difficulty of getting citadels was intentional.

    Pretty much, SS is fun but due to several factors it can be reeealy slow.

    Hi all, new Stainless Steel player here and I have been wondering about the citadel problem for some time. I've read a lot of threads through the search function and although I do get that it might be historical to only have a few citadels on the world map, what I don't understand is why you should have to have a high Chivalry FM to grow the settlement surely if my kingdom had the power and wealth I should be able to build one not just because my FMs spent their time bending over for every other faction, the system penalises a dread player, was this considered or is it the Mods design to make a the player "good"?

    So I just cheat (not happy about it though), although I've set myself a min requirement of a 20000 pop before allowing it

    Anyway, rocking Mod, enjoying it so far

    Mix and match generals. Always keep your Faction leader and Heri honest and try to use them to build . I use this method because If your gnerals are chivalrous it will reflect back on your king(or so i heard)
