Gold to credits conversion - are they crazy.......

1 gold = 480 credits......

So, if you needed all 6,1000,000 credits for that IS-7 (Like I do) it's going to take 127,083 gold which is £359.86.....

The 3x exp for the first victory is OK - everything else is a waste.

Yeah the xp is what i wanted. Came at the right time for me to sail through the B1 without having to play much more than my daily win with it.

I'm also slowly working my way through the T29.

The same event is on NA server for anyone wondering. Mostly worthless special for me because I desperately need credits more than anything. I guess the x3 would help with free xp grinding but with how many credits I need to grind I'd already be getting plenty of that.

So now they are even starting to break down on the first victory experience bonus, using a 3x multiplier instead of the tried, true and loved 5x? I don't like the tendency here...
And yes, getting gold to convert it into credits is a crazy thing to do with these exchange values.

I get the feeling it's more about using up gold - to buy consumables and to convert to credits.

which no one does .... maybe people in clanwars use those gold consumables but everyone with a sane mind wouldn't buy it ....

The X3 xp is the only nice thing, although I'd prefer a X5 to help my french tank and T32 grind ...

If you look over on the WoT official forum someone we know was speculating if it was worth spending so much gold to get some credits to be able to buy a vehicle......

Well, I doubt that they will have such a special for a week or two at least. After all the last one was for Xmas I believe.

I have a rammer, coated optics and ventilation on my Tiger II.

Do you think this event marks the beginning of a departure away from the more traditional events where the tanks involved in each battle/campaign generally earned more credits or were cheaper? I remember some of them where I would earn 500k with my Panzer IV or StuG III in a weekend.

I think they like 'to mix it up'......

Some events are OK (the 5x exp for the first win are always welcome). Others are OK but not for everyone - the example of lower tier vehicles being cheaper (or not so low tiers). I'm sure that some players will be in a position to take advantage of such offers. I bought the Panther and Tiger I back prior to the Panther/Panther II rework for 1/2 price and it came at the perfect time for me.

I think you got the numbers wrong. Correction a bit late though.
the IS7 is only 6 100 000 cr which takes 12 708 gold and are about $66 (as you need to get 14 500 gold).

Yes, got another digit in there - 12,708 rather than the 127,083....

The closest package I can buy is 14,500 for £42.45 which is still expensive. But not as expansive as I posted.
