    Okay so I don't know whats going on... i've done tons of mods with Total War: Empire but I can't get Shogun 2 to work... i've tried the mod manager and just using the script file and adding the line mod "modname".pack and nothing I looked for a tutorial on this subject to try and troubleshoot but couldn't find one.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Your script should be:

    mod modname.pack;

    or

    mod "modname".pack;

    *make sure the mod name does not have spaces.
    Try that see if it works.

    Also, are you modding the patch#.pack or the data.pack?
    You need to mod the patch file and not extract from the data pack (not insulting your intelligence). :-)

    Yeah that's what I've been doing.... or at least what I think I've been doing. If you have the game through steam or rather windows 7 what is the file path for the preferences file... maybe i'm using the wrong file.

    Thanks for the help.

    Before you do this, You must unhide the folders.

    That's the path:
    C:\Users\Aspire\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts

    Or

    search this: %appdata%, then you'll see the folder Roaming

    I hope it helps you.

    Also, remember to choosee Unicode Encoding when saving the file (bottom right in the save dialog of Notepad).
