Just figured it out! I remember being at the Antietam battlefield and they have alot of clips from this documentary since they updated the museum, that's where I remember it from

If you're talking about To Appomattox, here's the situation:

The producer has been working on it for years. Pretty much all the pre-production work has been finished, they just needed to find a distributor and such. Well, when the deal fell through, I guess Sony (the biggest source of funds) pulled out, leaving the producer with nothing. So he is taking it to Kickstarter in order to get the pilot episode filmed, after which he believes that he will be able to convince someone to fund the rest.

The Kickstarter starts later this month.
