C'est excellent.
A few notes:
Doughboys needs a sliiiightly wider hat (not the hat rim), because it looks as if it doesnt fit in thier head.
Your models are real good, but they need jacket pockets.
The french unit got their black boots reaching above their kneecap. You should fix that.
The Ottoman faces dont look turkish at all.
Did the Swedish really wear such kind of.... (no word to describe the awfulness) hat?
Btw, i do remember that it is possible to rename a region. Of course it's a pain in the ass in the startpos afterward but maybe you'd want to rename areas according to their early 20th century name rather than what they were called in 1700s. Of course the major changes would be in the Americans, as Europe pretty much remained the same.

yeah i thought about jacket pockets but theire not so easy to make.
i gonna make new faces for every faction.
i noticed the boot bug so often but always forgot to fix it
yes the swedish hat really looked like crap. it was kind of a deformed tricorn. i dislike it too but its a fact!
Total War: Age of Bronze: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...6#post13257296The Myrmidon Mod [Legendary Elite Unit]: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...scn=1398098795
No worries. You know, the jacket pockets can simply be texture, you dont have to change anything on the model.... or so i think
As far as the boots go, i am pretty sure you will fix it (though i do feel the urge to ask you why the french got a grey jacket instead of a blue).
And finally... you gave a veeeeeeeeeeeeery good reason to invade Sweden and eliminate their existance no matter what nation i will choose to play
yeah they are nearly worse than france at the beginning of the war. they had big problems to hide anywhere because of their red kepis and throusers.
btw: the french arent grey. check them again, its a kind of grey-blue with a purple touch in it. its the original colour of the french uniforms. i took the colour directly from a photo with the pipette
the boots will be fixed in 90 seconds! im going to try to make jacket pockets in the normal map.

Ah great. Not to be a smartass, but the French uniform changed three times during and after the war (talking about both metropolitan France and her colonial forces). So the next uniform will have to be like the Norwegian if i recall correctly, and then khaki again, and all this applied to the colonials, Senegalese and Algerians and what else i dont know..... quite a job i think.
french fixed! i tried to make some pockets and im gonna upload some screenshots.
yeah could be much work but its only the texture and texturing does not take too many time

maybe i should make the swedish unirorms more grey...
this hat is f***in difficult to make! im gonna make some experimants.

Perhaps you should.... this hat makes me wanna steamroll Sweden. How could they possibly design such a ....for the sake of dignity i'll say headwear, for their armed forces?
Any ideas, clues, whatever about the campaign?
oh yeah tons of ideas!
im gonna give u a short version of our ideas:
technologies: dozens of new ones. zeppelins will increase the armies sight.
roads: will extremely increase the armies range. this should show the usage of cars and trains
turns: 208, one turn is a week. the armies have only 4 or 5 movement points. this allows the AI and the player to react on every movement of the enemies forces.
boders: dozens of full armies will be placed at the borders. after the first turn the war starts and the armies will try to invade the enemies country. but because of the immense number of armies they wont make much progress and because of their slow movement they are going to need roads to push forward, but they are rare and in many cases the enemy will have blocked them.
this is the best way to show the trench warfare and the deadlocked situation in ww1. because of the nearly infinite supplies the war is going to take years. every army can count
10 800 men(one unit=540 men). this allows to place billions of soldiers e.g. in germany or france. only the faction which is tactically brilliant and can give enough supplies all the time is able to win the war. so its basically a thing of economy. like so many other things in the world.

as sayed above: billions of soldiers. i think you will have enough soldiers to run down a county like sweden
no offense, but the swedish hats really look like a pile of blue-grey pile of sh!t on a mans head.

This looks nice! Will play as Russia and NOT lose the war. Are all the factions listed anywhere?
That is far more than i had in my mind about the campaign to be honest. I do suppose that the war is a triggered event and there is nothing we can do about it (though the idea of countries abstaining from the war, or joining the other side, is intriguing, you might say).
And of course, the opportunity to take over Sweden and disband her armies forever. Nothing against the country, i worked there a few moons, good modern country, socialist, and everything, but their pre-WW1 uniform is a hybris.
EDIT: Vjelikaja Rus didnt lose the war, not at all sir.
but russia lost the most men in the shortest time. e.g. at the battle of tannenberg against the german troops. they outnumbered the germans with more than 30 000 men and lost then nearly all. they made heavy losses on the austrian eastern front too. i think thats because of their old-fashioned tactics. most of the generals gathered experience in the russo-turkish war and this war was fought really old fashioned. which means: no hiding, trenching or disguising.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Tannenberg_(1914)
if they would have used other tactics and exploited their full potential they would have overrunned germany and austria.
@brotherblaze: its gonna be difficult to win the war, because russia gets big social problems!

the war will started by war declarations in the first turn. the countries which declared war to each other later will have very, very bad relations.
concerning factions: i could post them anywhere, but its easy: every country of 1914 which could be assigned to a region on the etw map.

Ah yeah. All correct, but you forget the Russian mentality: 1) As long as there are people to send in human waves, we are not defeated. 2) As long as the enemy has ammunition to spare we have not won. So in a manner, they didnt lose the war. By the way, what happened at 1918, at the end of the campaign? Do we keep going on, will there be any trigger effects or something?
And because i had an awful day in faculty today, i demand unit previews to get my daily fix.
haha yeah i can upload some images of austrian and german uhlans/lancers.
maybe i will make textures for the serbian, romanian, portugeese and russian models.
i would prefer to get some information about spanish and greek infantry. the most common headgear and uniforms and so on.
