I’ve posted modern colour photographs of most WW1 French units in the TGW research thread. Check the spoiler tag under each unit description:

Here are the images for what you asked:

note: "chef" just means "chief" in French (and a number of other languages). No jokes about cooking here.

Here are some screens of one the irish rebels, the new rifles-textures and the crater with BSM 1.4:
It exist a version without the BSM 1.4, too.

Here you can see the irish rebels in reality:

I'll do some changes with the irish rebels textures and modells, of course.

cool! thanks! youll see results soon!
wow don_Durandal, you saved me much time of researching! best research thread ive ever seen. i changed my opinion on the french army and think that it was the best organised of 1914, because they could hold their line while they were outnumbered by the militaristic germans! kudos.

Chasseurs a cheval... you mean i will be able to use them as rapid deployment infantry and ambush/flank the attackers and send them all to kingdom come.

I knew this mod had potential but now i simply bow down.

haha yes comneus! all dragoons should be used this way. theyre very good for killing the artillery teams.
i think lancers are quite realistic now: if you send them against the enemies without circle them you wont find a single lancer alive. it hapened often to me that i wanted to use my lancers for charge, but then i noticed that theyre all dead....

thank you guys, its very encouraging!
