Multiplayer true faction names?

What are the true faction names on multiplayer. I like to play multiplayer and shuffle around territories as i see fit through diplomacy. I cannot figure out what the real name of each faction is though. So my questions are these.
1. What is the command to take control and dismiss control of factions in multiplayer?
2. What are the names that you have to use for each faction?
