It's really strange how much that pic changes though. In the morning you can hardly see the spartan (its super dark) but later in the day (different lighting) the spartan becomes easily visible. I can't believe just how much it changes. Oh well, thanks for the comments.

I though my monitor was mucking up as saw in the early afternoon and could not see the spartan, look at it about 11pmm Gmt and saw the spartan

My apologies if anyone is getting sick of Spartans, because my lastest pic is full of em

I decided to try something a little different and I attempted to make it earlier this week but gave up. After looking at a few tutorials and testing different methods i finally got somewhere and, putting my PS knowledge to the test, came up with this. Not exactly what i had envisaged but i'm quite happy with it considering my skill (or rather lack of) in photoshop.

Not bad. I like where you're going with it. One thing that sticks out is the pic of the spartans in the top left. It seems out of place.

This is my latest pic. I'm a bit gutted a messed up the blurring but i can't really be bothered fixing it. Comments again though please.

Hannibal, I really like the one you submitted to Potw. One thing I think could have made it better (and this is just personal preference, so don't change it because of me), is if you just got the head and torso of the guy riding the horse in the pic. I know the point if for the viewer to feel like their riding the horse, but all it does for me is make me imagine that I am the horse!

First edit I could be bothered to do for a while. Just trying some filters and lighting effects. As you may notice, it's very similar to my old Arcani pic...

1 question how did you get it with just those 2 guys.

Well it most certainly wasn't easy... or quick. I used photoshop and the magic wand. I used this to select bits i didnt want (i.e. anything other than the two soldiers) and deleted them. This took a very long time. I had to zoom in for some sections and i also used the free hand selection tool to delete bits here and there. There is no easy way to do this, and if there is nobody told me.

I went a bit ott on when darkening that pic. It looked so much lighter at the time. This is what they looked like in a slight variation I found that I didnt realise I had actually done lol.

Your pictures are really good I think I may try some fog effects now but I have Corel Photo paint And I am not totally sure how to get it.

My lastest and yet no name. I was did not plan for it to turn out like this but as usual my ideas change as I go. Similar idea/techniques as my sparta pic. Thoughts?

It's not that hard, it just requires a good backrounbd pic and a few good looking shots. You can just make a new layer in photoshop for each pic and erase what you don't want with the eraser tool.
