Isnt it five?
do i have to stay still for 6 turns cause i moved a couple times but stayed next to t he mountain
As long as your in the same region you should be fine IIRC
thx once again wow have you been on the forums all this time Oo
I destroyed One ring by captured Barad-dur and sitting there for 5 turns
Wow so I found the ring in Moria, took Gandalf down to destroy it, only to get down there and told I have to go back to Imladris to get the quest. I've been sitting by the volcano for about 10 turns now and nothing's happened.
@Spits32 I know it sounds quite stupid, but have you checked that you have got the One Ring? Because it can be stolen after you get it.
I believe you need to capture Barad-Dur and hold it for 5 turns, not just stand in the Barad-Dur region. But not 100% sure
I was told in another thread that you need to have the guy with the ring next to the volcano for five turns. They didn't say anything about holding Barad Dur, though I do hold it.
When i got the ring i looked in BS mod compilation post and if you look at the pictures ilustrating the mods he did take Barad-Dur and said to hold it for 5 turns, so that's what I did, and it worked.
So if you can't destroy the ring by just standing near the volcano, it's worth a try.
Okay I loaded my save game from 30 turns ago in order to go to Imladris first. I haven't had time to go down to the volcano so I will let you guys know if it works w/out capturing baradur.
You do not have to control Barad-Dur. You only have to remain in the region of Barad-Dur.
for 5 turns
For more than 5 turns at least for me
In my vanilla games I destroyed the ring by just staying in the Mt Doom (gorgoroth?) region for 5 turns or so. But when playing Baron Samedi's compilation I had to take Barad Dur and sit there for a couple of turns to destroy it.
I think vanilla has the original one ring script and BS compilation has a tweaked one, not sure though.
Personally I prefer the Mt Doom method.
Jacobim Mugatu is prob right
as tatws script destroys all army of mordor not Mordor itself
Baron samedi's script makes Mordor destroyed fully

Okay so I finally got it, played 30 extra turns in order to initiate the script from Imladris, fought hordes of free stacks through the black gates... held Barad-Dur for 5 turns. Hit end turn to claim victory. "M2TW has experience an unspecified error and will shut down." *Face palm*.
