    Default MTW2 for Mac

    Hey everybody,

I've got a Macbook that I've got for school, and I'd love to be able to get Medieval to work on here. I tried what was said on here: http://www.paulthetall.com/page39/page60/page60.html but it didn't quite work. I got the game installed, but I can't get the "medieval2.exe" to run.

I'm using the CD version. i made a post on the forum over on that site, and got this as a response:

rightclick wrapper --> show package content --> wineskin --> advanced --> at windows excecutable clcik choose/browse --> navigate to the game folder and select the medieval2.exe --> click done --> click ok. Run the game by double clicking the wrapper.
Now, I did that, but it doesn't actually let me select the .exe for some reason. If somebody could help, that would be great. I'd love to get the game working on here.

i actually dd just this for my macbook pro.

make sure all instances of wine are stopped, then click the icon that it made on the desktop (if you selected that option). If not look for it.

Paul should be able to help on the site, just give as much info as possible.

mine didn't actually seem to make an icon anywhere. where did you install yours to? I installed mine to the Applications folder, but it just doesn't seem to be working right.

Paul gave me the response I quoted above, but hasn't got back to my 2nd inquiry yet. In all fairness, I wouldn't expect him to get back right away, I mean it is so close to Christmas and all, it's a busy time of year.

I'm gonna uninstall, and wipe everything that I've downloaded or installed for the game off my computer tomorrow, and try everything again.

Out of curiosity, how's the game run on your Macbook Pro? That's what I've got too, I assumed it would run it well. I do need a get a mouse though, just thought of that, haha.

save it where it originally was. It will create a drive folder (drive_c) within the package, i believe hat is your main issue. DO NOT save it anywhere else but where it states

that's what Paul said to do too, I'll give it a try today with a reinstall. Thanks for the help. I got it to work now, sorta at least. It'll open the game, but it just crashes saying, "Medieval 2 has encountered an unspecified error" and then makes me close it.
