    Default Getting Shogun 2 for christmas

    I am getting Shogun 2 for christmas and I am wondering if Fall of the saumurai is must have just like kingdoms is for Medieval 2. Regards and merry christmas

    Actually Rise of the Samurai is 10 times better than the vanilla campaign imho

    RotS is great, definitely worth purchasing. I adore the vanilla campaign still, but I'd say the marked difference between the two campaigns makes RotS a must have.

    Yeah get RoTS, but make sure you play the original S2 campaign first so you can appreciate their differences.

    Agree with others here. Rots is more challenging and complex than the original campaigns.

    The scope in Shogun 2 is much smaller than in Medieval 2. And Rise of the samurai's scope is nothing compared to Kingdoms.

    Personally I'm liking Shogun 2 because I loved Shogun 1 and love the theme/Japanese samurai era.
