Just downloaded the beta and tried to start but it crashes when I start it and I have tried everything from loggin off and back on steam then defragging the catche and verifying the catche but nothing has worked so what could be the problem?

Do you have shogun 2 installed? I heard many times, that an installed shogun 2 is required to play the beta.

Yes, I have over 700 hours played on Shogun 2 and I redownloaded the beta but it crashed again and downloaded some sort of update then I tried to start it but it said it still was downloading even though it finished then said there was an error and the servers are full.

I had over 200 hours of playing shogun and started to think that I'm a fanboy of CA but you're truly fan boy here.

Yeah, i've had the game sence release but doesn't seam like i've played that much but i've seen people that have over 1,000 hours played

Good to see CA are actually going to beta test their games. I think its important to get people into a beta early on in the development cycle so new ideas/balance can be introduced well before release.

Lol i dont even see how people manage 200 hours. I've played since relase and only have 95 hours lol.

If you are having trouble running the beta, uninstall any mods and files associated with Shogun 2, I had trouble till I uninstalled darthmod.

Wasn't part of the beta tester NDA to not identify yourself as a beta tester? If you guys start tossing that info around, there's a good chance you won't be eligible to test in the future. I guess that assumes they can figure out which account here is tied to your account there.

Mine FOTS closed beta doesn't work. It crashing during downloading game at begin. I removed all mobs from original Shogun 2 data but it has not affect to crash.
