    Default Pure Bushido builds

    Hey guys

Have any of you done a campaign with a pure bushido build first? I'd image you would keep everything at a low level and fast expand, gaining buildings like temples from other provinces?

The main problems I see would be religeous unrest and food shortages due to not being able to build farms once you take a province.

    Is this feasible?

Sounds similar to a way to run Oda, but even that isn't TOTALLY bushido. Taking only two chi arts (to unlock market as well as the next level of roads). The person suggested building rice exchanges (as you get the tech for them and roads at once) but in light of the AI's tendencies to cause you food problems later I wouldn't.

Doing that of course will not really lead to a lot of ricing, but spamming ashigaru like mad (and running for uberstacked acc, reload teppo) is one way to do Oda. The Market building, at least, is good to grab.

In my opinion, at least the farming techs are absolutely necessary.
Without farming upgrades, it is hard to produce any rice surplus.
Without rice surplus, upgrading castles is limíted.
This results in few recruiting slots.

Personally, I need two or three teched up castles to quickly recruit big armies.

Do a fast expansion, at least the PreRD provinces need to be taken before the other clans have a chance to upgrade their castles. Then in each province you can build the farms to the first level(improved irrigation) without learning any Chi Arts.

That should give you enough food surplus to build up the castles in a couple key provinces. Smithing, Crafts, with a small surplus left over to deal with any overbuilding that the AI does. It's tight but doable.
