I would like to ask creators about the source of legions' appearance and history, especially Leg. X Fretensis. Could You recommend me some books about signs, armory, places of camps, battles etc. of this specific legion?

I recommend Men-at-arms series published by Osprey Publishing. I am not sure which book suiltable for your interests, but it's worthy to take a look.
