I hate preordering to get dlc for a game that's not even out yet.

Being Danish (where Lego was invented) it just seems so funny to hear grown men and women ranting about a toy that has existed for so long. I am sure that you can build Minas Tirith and other locations with existing lego blocks so the only "news" is the prints in the figures and a few new shaped blocks. I am more impressed with the work done on this mod than a Lego PC game anyway.

So do you have anything to contribute here?

I would've prefered Mega Bloks to do this, I'm finding I tend to like MB more than Lego now (still collecting the Halo Wars sets for stop-motion purposes )

I actually think I did by saying don't waste your money on the new lego and build what you want with the old and if you want to play a game of LOTR then this Mod is your best option.

He was simply voicing his opinion, which is what you should expect on a forum. Don't take it personally.

Except he made a valid point, you can build pretty much anything out of LEGO without needing an official set. Some o the more "diehard" fans of Playmobil/LEGO actually repaint them. They can look quite cool

    You were just arguing.

I was arguing because he said that Third Age is the only decent LOTR game.No doubt, I love this mod but it is hardly the only decent LOTR game or the only one worth checking out.

No I'd agree that this is the best LOTR game out, I wouldn't touch the monstrosities that are "Battle of Middle Earth" with a 10ft pole. The First Age mod that is being developed looks quite good though so maybe?

Hey! I loved that game! It was silly, yes but it was very fun.And it is also very moddable.

I agree that other mods might come close or even become better. The point is that as long as it is made by fans for fans the outcome will far outshine mainstream games And to the point about Lego I actually like Lego I just don't think you need special sets to build what you want. The best buys I have seen are either used unsorted or some of the unsorted boxes you can buy as new. Here it is only the imagination that sets the limits (again something where you decide what and how) where the boxed sets you buy be that either LOTR, Star Wars, Harry Potter or all the other films they own the rights to (Indiana Jones inc.) are rather limited and you end up only being able to build what they want you to build. Not much left for your imagination there. I don not care one bit what you spend your money on I am just voicing my opinion and if it does not fit yours please respond in kind by voicing yours in stead of jumping down my throat. I like that this forum is almost Troll free (apart from the ones that are supposed to be here in the mod) lets keep it that way please.
