    This mod will definitely have an opportunity to become truly great, especially with the theme of the 'clash of civilizations and cultures' coming into play here. You guys are in the right direction, keep up the good work !!!

    On the side note though, since the mod starts in 1500, wouldn't the existence of an 'independent Netherlands' be anachronistic? 'The Netherlands', known as the Seven Provinces in the mod's timeframe, was never a sovereign polity until the late-16th century. As a matter of fact, 'the Netherlands'- known as the Habsburg Netherlands/Seventeen Provinces -was under the rule of the Habsburgs in 1500. So, IMO they should be part of Spain (this option releases an extra slot for another faction), or if this is not possible, as a playable faction as usual at game-start but as allies of the HRE and Spain.

    Another option is to make the Dutch Seven provinces an emergent faction starting with a few cities in the 1560s(the Eighty Years' War).

    This is just my 2 cents; I apologize if my opinions irritated potential players of the Dutch nation, but I am sure that players of this mod would much like historical accuracy to be taken into account, and at the same time not compromise the gameplay. (Sry for my bad English.)

    Your English is fine. First, I don't think we want any emergent factions because that makes for less factions that can be played. Second, thanks for the info, but I think we may want to continue with the Netherlands as playable but maybe give Spain a province in Holland. And thanks for the encouragement. If you want to be a researcher or if you want to learn coding or scripting or anything like that, you can just ask me.

    Mr King Will this mod looks like it'll be fantastic. I've been waiting for a mod like this since vanilla. One that begins at the dawn of new world colonisation and continues into the formation of the first global empires.
    I was devastated when I realised E:TW only covered the latter part...
    While Americas covered only the early part.
    Would love to be able to grow my tiny colony into a superpower

    Post some pics of your progress when you can. Keep up the good work.

    I agree, I am Dutch myself and although I really look forward to players making a 'dutch empire', having 'The Netherlands' involved in 1535 isn't historical. It was part of the Austrian empire and later under Spanish rule. Emergent should be a good solution indeed(especially because we have some nation slots left, right?)
    An other solution is that the Netherlands are a vassalstate of Austria and later Spain, before they get their independence?

    it is impossible to have a nation vassaled at the start. I wish we could do that with Hungary.
