bah for some reason when I try to download the links I can download the first 2 .exe files fine but both the 3.1 and 3.2 patches go to a blank page and I can not get...is there another place to download them directly from? thanks

I've got a problem with hotseat game (v3.2). I didn't notice it in the previous v. ...
The essence of the problem is that all battles vs. AI during AI-run factions movement are being auto-resolved. Why is that? I loved to play this game with all good or all bad faction. Now it's not so fun anymore...
Did anyone encounter this problem? Maybe someone found a solution to it?

This should do, it's not a problem, it's a normal setting on hotseat campaigns.

Copy the TATW.cfg to your TATW data folder, located in program files/SEGA/Medieval2TotalWar/mods, rename the old cfg file as a backup.
If you want to know what to do for other times, you just have to delete the # in front of the "autoresolve_battles = false" line under the hotseat section. You can open the cfg file with a program like notepad++. In some cfg's the line is not there so you have to add it but KingKong has been so nice to put it in here already with a description line above it.

Are the gamefront links dead? I get a "File not found" whenever I try to download 3.0, 3.1, or 3.2. If so, where else can I get them? I found 3.0 on fileplanet but they don't have 3.1 or 3.2.
I just bought MTW2 Gold so that I could play this mod. I'm looking forward to it![]()

Thanx lollsuck, unfortunately it's not working...
The only TATW.cfg I've found was in "files/SEGA/Medieval2TotalWar/mods", not in the "data" folder. I've switched the .cfg file and checked if the "#" was in fact missing - it was not there. I've then started a campaign to test this new configuration and... battles were still being auto-resolved...
I’ve tried also moving the .cfg file into the data folder – but the only effect was that TATW shortcut started as a normal MedievalTW game.
Any idea what am I doing wrong?

The config file is in the mods/Third Age folder not in the data folder.

Ah, for some reason, after I had signed up for an account at Mod DB, it wasn't allowing me to download directly from the site and was only giving me the gamefront option.
Now, it's allowing me to directly download. So, no worries!

Awesome mod, just downloaded it yesterday. I've never played TATW before that. Only complaint is Sauron and the Balrog being labeled as heavy cavalry. Couldn't they be labeled as heavy infantry like the trolls? Having them be "heavy cavalry" greatly reduces their effectiveness because they don't like to attack quickly and they prefer to dance around their enemies instead of fighting them. I'm sure if any of you have tried fighting them against each other you noticed that. I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet or not because I didn't want to read all 70 pages, so sorry if someone has. Other than that I love the mod though, great troop variety

They are elephants for the game, the only way they can use one Sauron or Balrog. There is no way this can be changed.
I was wondering if it was something like that. Thanks for the response. Them being elephants would explain why they act so weird sometimes.

Hi, so in TATW armor doesnt work for all units? Does it mean that building leather tanner, blacksmith is useless? If so, i'd like to give it a try and look into it. What about the weapon upgrades? Also i'm sorry if i'm asking this in the wrong section.
