Nice work on the release, KK and the team! As soon as I find some time, I will be playing it .
Testudo
And then came spam stack...
No seriously i think this is how game experience should look like. Defense to last man, total annihilation on both sides. Few battles which decide what will happen next. Please Pasan report how it goes i think it will make good view on game balancing.
Time is the killer.
Kong: This changes nothing between us. I'm still looking for a rematch. Though I may show you mercy. Watcho back, monkey man.
Also, thanks to you and your team
Been lurking here for years, but I registered just to applaud the dev team for this latest release.
I used to play the LotR mod for Rome Total War, and waited anxiously for a mod on the Medieval II engine.
Now I can die happy; an old favourite war board game, SPI's War of the Ring from 1977 has now been realized in computer format. Congratulations!
For those interested here's a link to an info page for that old game http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2228/war-of-the-ring
It has maps, orders of battle, reinforcement schedules, rules and a small RPG aspect.
I thought about posting that a while ago for possible use in TATW, but you guys have done a wonderful job as it is.
Cheers
now that i played around a bit I will make a more detailed response.
-wonderful new units, absolutely marvelous. Where exactly did the idea for the Osgiliath Guard come from?
-speaking of Osgiliath, why only a ford? that beautiful done bridge seems so sad at not being properly used
-more about Osgiliath: i love the scenery, it was truly amazing to fight in the ruins, even if it was a pitifully small battle.
All in all a solid edition it seems.
"Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great compassion. Your delight is not in horses, nor Your pleasure in warriors strength..."
Will we have a changelog soon?
good work to the to everyone on the team, I have been hanging out forever for this
And my computer messes up when TATW 3.0 is released. Oh well,
I plan on getting a newer and better computer anyways.
Downloaded the game yesterday and it works like charm so far, even for my crappy computer. I have to say, though, that I got a little disappointed by the random areas the palantiri reveals and the unaccessable bridge at Osgiliath. I hope the latter will be solved in future versions...
Now excuse me, I got to go and kick some orcish butts!
Guys you're amazing, many thanks!
Holy **** this is great!
Thanks for all your efforts!
edit: The pictures on the release post doesn't work btw...
