It's pretty much caused by the game engine itself so you can't do anything to solve it.
Anyway, it's not meant to be played with close cam even if watching a SMERSH fire a rocket volley is kind of poetic.

    Hows the realism?

Yep, on D-Day in Iraq, we launched over 500,000 pikemen to capture the flag which Rome was holding. Didn't go so well for us but those Spartans didn't win by much with there muskets.

^Not overwhelming, but still more than most games. The major realism is in the finite fuel and ammo that units have, and that's very manageable with supply units (choppers in particular are helpful for their speed and range).

I would like to imagine this is as a game that allows for some nice micromanaging. Especially with infantry in terms of using them to go places tanks and other stuff can't and having to really rely on keeping troops alive instead of spamming units. Is that so?

Yeah. Losing a unit hurts in this game. Its rare that you have the ability to quickly replace heavy losses. The maps are large enough that even if you can instantly call in replacement units, its likely that they won't be in position to intervene for a few minutes.

You cant lose big money units at all and they can be very easily destroyed by cheap units with long rang anti armor rockets. Most battles is all about recon and finding targets for your rockets and arty.
Where having more money comes into play is not so much having better units but lots more which with the help of recon you can send into the weak spots.

There is just so much strategy in this game i cant wait to see how games play out in a couple of months when people figure out all the best tactics.

T 55 AMV1, OT-64 + Vysadkari, and MTLB Schturm with some Havok here and there if required this is the way to kick everything with the PACT. Cheap and very powerful.

The cool thing is that you have quite alot of options with your deck. As you've gone with a relative cheap but effective solution. On the other hand you can easily go with less but more powerful and expensive units.

Played a couple games today employing the AMX10RC in its armoured recon role, was quite effective in spotting and taking out units, that 105 is quite effective for hit and run.

Ugh, maybe tonight I'll actually, finally be able to sit down and play the release. Haven't been able to play since the beta.

Yeah, that's true. It's a matter of playstyle.
Recently, I've been beaten by someone spamming rank 4 Lynx, OMG, there was nothing I could do. Indestructible and 100% efficiency. I was too confident because I thought it was a very bad unit. I won't fall into that trap twice

Haha indeed! Once you learn the most common units people like to use it gets far easier to be able to defend and respond to those kind of situations. Half the fun is trying to take someone on with inferior equipment.

Is there anything more satisfying that watching a massive blob of helis just fall out the sky as rockets and aa fire just pours into them ? It makes me smile

I also need to invest in some flame tanks ! I was against some today and I was sat there laughing "Ha ! look at you with your t55's..OH *** !!" They just explode everything instantly it was aterrible !! I think it worked so well because he came at me from the side through some woods so they were at point blank range by the time my stuff spotted them, and then BOOM.

I could see this game working very well with a campaign map similar to Total War. It's a shame no one will try it.

It would be a cool concept.

-EDIT- Just came up against a gunship spam game. Although its not that annoying (quite noobish though) to fight its just really boring to play against someone who is just using gunships.

I just had the most fun game ever it was 2v3 (the guy on our team dropped instantly) and we were playing against a clan. They had obviously decided that they'd mass on one side since we could only really cover 2 of the the 3 deployment zones. But they guessed wrong and drove straight into and ambush from my team mate while i rushed forward and captured 2 out of their 3 deployment zones with almost no resistance. I then caught 2 columns of reinforcements just as they cam in before i capped one of the zones. Then we surrounded them and started to push them back...until my game crashed and then i cried.
