We probly have enough twc players to make a team now, it would be nice to play with some competent people. Yesterday one of my team bought nothing but fobs, and it was only a 1500 point game so he never got a chance to buy any units !

Well, add me if you want to play together!
Ingame name is the same, Timbab.
I like it better than RUSE simply because I have helicopters.
I'm a total noob but I may as well log as many hours sucking here in the beta before the scores count.
Add me on steam. My name is: I WUB PUGS
I am on Pacific Time. Either nights for me or really anytime I'm on during weekends other than 11am-2pm PST on Sundays when I play EU3 MP.
ArGhGHh it makes me so angry when people who smack talk, spam arty or helis, base rape you, camp roads, or what ever other prickish behaviour you can think of are really smarmy and pretend to be all mature telling you to grow up because it's only a game. I will actually find the house of the next one and decapitate him...rant over.
Just bought it as well.
Remember however there is no tutorial to speak of.
So better learn it the hard way :p
But what is the most important thing and is something I did and many first-timer do which is having no idea how to get troops onto the battlefield in the deployment phase.
You can call in units through out the game as you generate points for it but you want that big army in place from the start.
Do not play around with the decks at first but simply use the starting deck(should be default), it's a good enough deck to use.
But when you enter the battlefield, look at the top-left corner of the screen, you should see a number there like 1500 or 2000 or even 3000. That's your points which you use to get troops. As I said, you generate more points as the match goes on.
But anyway, click on that number and you will get a list appear right next to it where it says things like "inf" or "heli" and so on.
These are as you might guess the various categories, just click on one of them and you will see the whatever you got in that category.
Then just click on the unit that you want, if you want more units then just click multiple times on it and you will build up a group.
When you got the number you want just move your mouse over to the map and you should see that you got the units that you wanted already in formation and all and you simply click to place them where you want them.
Then just continue until you feel you got the army that you wanted or you run out of points.
Also the "move fast" command makes your vehicles follow the road as much as possible and gets them to their location much faster.
Also in order to capture locations you need to use a command vehicle and they have to remain in place in order to keep the control. If you move them out of the area the location will be neutral.
Many points aren't all that but some points are spawn points(you recognise those by having a big arrow next to them) so they are worth it since it makes bring troops alot faster up to the frontlines.

^ That would have helped before we fired up our first game
I like it so far. The starter decks are a little bit, well basic but what do you expect from the cookie cutter stuff. Hoping there are transport helos, can't wait to sneak my guys around the back to their base.
I managed to sneak some french foreign legion in to the enemys base today, created quite a bit of havok. Flew them half way then let them hoof it the rest, without enemy recon around they where like ghosts.
Full game is installing as i type this, i am very eager to play the single player campaign, and get my new deck up to speed hope to see some of you on the battlefield.![]()
I'm sure there will be an X Pack right around then so we'll all have that to play too...
Asian Escalation???
My first game I just clicked randomly around the map wondering WTF was going on and why I couldn't do anything..... that is until I clicked on the number in the top left and then hit myself in the face.
So, how does this compare to World in Conflict? I was a big fan of that game but bought it after the online had started dying down. Are there any notable issues with it? I'd usually read reviews to find this stuff, but it doesn't seem like there's a single review out there right now.

Is this game worth the money or shall i wait a long time and for a sale?
It looks alright and i like the idea of there being hundreds of units but you know... it looks like it could have been simplified to the level that you have tanks firing over miles and miles and helecopters accurately firing machine guns over like 5 large fields.
Also, i realise it's the cold war but i swear i saw the Challenger 2 as an unlock in a video... does multiplayer cover a wider modern time period?
If this is on par with World in Conflict I may buy it. I loved that game. Lost my Cd key though!
Well, I bought the game. I played three games online and did a pretty terrible job the first two, but finally got the hang of it by the third. Pretty fun game. I'm need to keep unlocking more units, though.

Do some solo missions they give you command stars too. Means you'll stand a chance against high level players.
To the people asking about WiC - they feel quite different. The point system for call ins is similar, but there are no off map artillery/CAS call ins (too my knowledge) and there is no pigeon holing of players into a specific role as there was in WiC. This is both good and bad, it allows players to be more flexible with their force but also means that there is less forced teamwork. I've enjoyed the small amount that I have played, and I think that team games are where its at.
To be honest, I feel as if you start out with too many point and that the maps should be 3/4 of their current size, but that may just be the Company of Heroes nut in me speaking.
