I recently read that some mods damage your operating system when removed. Since I wanted to download this, I would like to know if this damages your operating system when removed.

i am not aware of damaging any operating system a Rome Total War mod. i have installed and uninstalled many mods without any issue. usually i have a clean version of the game and then i copy it a few more times and i use each installation of a mod in a seperate installation of the game (unless if it is modfoldered so there is no reason to do that and use without reason GB of the hard disk). i have to say that i use Windows XP, so i do not know if in Vista or 7 there could be a problem. i am quite sure it won't though. in case you use steam, ask someone else. i never liked the steam so i have no idea.

I've never had any issues with any RTW mod (STW included) damaging my system when removed either.
the one that damage your operating system is actually mods that use JSGME mod switch program - dunno bout the detail but I've read that somewhere in the ORG - RTW mods here do not use that program afaik, they use simple modfolder solution, cleaner, not damaging registry, and such
